WOAH! I know I'm not very active anymore but I do check up on my account from time to time and today, out of the blue, I decided to check on my stats. I noticed that I have 700 watchers which is kind of mind-blowing for me.

I've decided I'm going to stick with this account for awhile longer and upload my WIPs and concepts on tumblr (which will remain private for now).

I just got done with the second week of the semester.. I have a feeling I'll be really busy this semester x.x

Other than that life is good! Expect more art to come, I'm on a roll


Oh, and if you have any suggestions for art, let me know. I know most of you guys will probably choose a Warriors character and/or scene but I love to draw anything. Thanks!

Hey guys!

Sorry for being so inactive (what else is new) but I figured it was time for an update.

I hope everyone has been enjoying their holidays so far! The year over and a new year is about to begin. I never believed in new year's resolutions, so I don't have any. I do have certain goals but I wouldn't call them resolutions

Anyway, I've been thinking for a long time and I think it's about time I move accounts or maybe just leave dA. This isn't something I just come up with on the spot, I've actually been considering this for a couple of months and here's why:

1) I am hardly active. I don't post anything because I never really finish any of my pieces, they're mainly sketches and conceptual doodles (sort of like storyboard style kind of art). And I feel that if I post my random doodles, I'll be spamming everyone's inbox with unfinished artwork that they could care less about.

2) I've grown of this account's name. "Kytes" was a characters I made up several years ago during my early teen stage of life when everything I did was full of drama and who knows what else, haha. Now that I've grown up a whole lot (I hope) I've come to realize that this name has no meaning to me anymore. I'm a different person with new interests, new hobbies, etc etc. Although, drawing will always be a hobby that I'm passionate about.

3) Due to my inactivity, I feel like I'm letting my watchers down. I mean, most of you probably don't really give a crap whether I post stuff or not but whatever. Also, I went through a major WARRIORS phase and I think most of the people watching me now, solely watch me for that reason: Warriors fan art lol. I understand, but I'm sort of over it. I like doodling character designs every once in awhile (because there are a vast amount of characters with so many personalities that it's fun to draw them out) but I haven't really touched that series in over two years.


Sorry for making this journal entry so long.
I'm not exactly sure what I'm going to do now. I have a tumblr and might post my artwork on there from now on just for friends to see. But I was also thinking about making another account and just posting my doodles and whatnot. I know a lot of people who watch expect to see drawings of cats, warrior cats to be specific and possibly other critters but I draw a lot more than that.

Well, I'm just curious to see if anyone would be interested to follow me to my new account and watch me for my concept artwork (like for comic ideas, characters, short animations), studying expressions and original characters, etc.. just don't expect anything to get finished but I may post things more often...

edit: oh yeah, don't worry though.. I'll leave this account up and if I ever do make warriors fan art again i'll probably post it here. But I'm ready to move on...

If you've read all of this, then I am totally grateful that you put up with my rambling! Your opinions are greatly appreciated, it'll help me out a lot to figure out what to do next. Plus, I'd like to get involved more and get to know more of my watchers. Over 400 people watch me and I feel so alienated from everyone (which is pretty much my fault since I am not active) but I'd like to be more friendly


Goodbye 2010! Hello to a new year and (possibly?) a new beginning!

Thank you for all the birthday wishes! I love all of you guys and I'll be sure to thank each one of you personally when I get the chance (most likely tomorrow). And thanks for the very wonderful gifts!

I'm not really doing much for my birthday, it's rather boring. Also I blew off all my fun money last weekend so I can't really do much haha. I went to the EPICENTER 2010 music festival. It was amazing! SO many great bands like Bad Religion, Blink 182, Rise Against, etc etc..
That was sort of like my birthday celebration I threw for myself. And I'll probably be doing random things throughout the week, like friends taking me out and whatnot. So I'll be looking forward to it! But as far as today goes, I'm not doing anything! Just sitting back and relaxing.

I'll be sure to start working on commissions and finishing up overdue art trades after the weekend. And since more people are expressing interest in commissions I might set up prices and whatnot. We'll see how things go!


It's my last "teen" year! I'm 19 and I'm ready to live it up and enjoy it while it lasts! 'Cuz next year I'll be 20 and then I'll just feel old

I TYPED UP A WHOLE JOURNAL THING AND YOU DECIDED TO SEND ME TO AN ERROR PAGE AND NOT EVEN SAVE THE CONTENT I HAD IN HERE.

But it managed to update my journal anyways. Except it was empty. I don't get it.


Ugh, well I'm not going to re-type what I had before. To sum it all up:

I'm getting frustrated with my art program, Fireworks. I've tried looking up tutorials but I usually can't find anything good.

I might consider purchasing Photoshop, but I'll need to save up for it first. All I wish for is smooth lines and pen pressure. Fireworks has something similar to pen pressure but you have to change the settings every time you use a new brush, it's tedious. And it doesn't even turn out that great!

I'll stop complaining now.
