Close when they were young, running from the dogs.
She got everything he wanted, the two grew apart.
At the neck, both lost it all, in the end.

Gotta love these two! Their lives always seemed parallel to each other, although one got the short end of the stick when it came to love and family. Classic siblings :' )

The only thing that bothers me about these two in the books.. yeah, that's that Ashfur overreacted big time, whilst Ferncloud has too many babies.

Doesn't bother me. These characters are anthropomorphized in the series so they have human attributes but in reality, they're cats. Cats and other animals, even humans, breed to populate and to keep their genes in the gene pool. Ferncloud was a strong character, she was a fighter and a good mother. Why not keep those genes around?
